The museum is located in the former Shevlin School, a two-story brick structure built in 1911. The school closed in 1991 and the Historical Society "History Center" opened in 1996. The center also has a small historic "village" including a log cabin, a depot, a log school, a gas station and serveral other buildings.
The museum has a big collection of photographs, newspapers, and obituaries. No matter the research, we might be able to help. If not then we can guide you in the right direction.
Becoming a member gives you the opportunity to share your ideas and suggestions for the direction of the Historical Society. You will also receive our newsletter Clearwater Co. History News (6 times a year) in the mail and advance notice of upcoming events. Your financial support as well as your involvement is the key to a successful Historical Society. Have any question?
